Prayer for Saturday

You must stop seeing God as separate from you, and you as separate from each other. The only solution is the Ultimate Truth: nothing exists in the universe that is separate from anything else. Everything is intrinsically connected, irrevocably interdependent, interactive, interwoven into the fabric of all of life.
~ Neale Donald Walsh, Conversations with God, an uncommon dialogue, Book 1

Great Universal Spirit,
who is within me and within all things,
I thank You for my self-awareness.
I thank You for my ability to feel my connection to all things.
I thank You for the power of creation that You have given me,
and all sentient beings in the universe.
I thank You for the abundance in the world,
that is available to me every day.
I pray that all people everywhere:
Realize they are self-aware,
Recognize their connection to each other and all things,
Know that there is abundance in their life,
And give thanks for it all.
And so it is.
Amen

If you can’t see God in all,
you can’t see God at all.
~ Yogi Bhajan

O God
Let us be united;
Let us speak in harmony;
Let our minds apprehend alike.
Common be our prayer;
Common be the end of our assembly;
Common be our resolution;
Common be our deliberations.
Alike be our feelings;
Unified be our hearts;
Common be our intentions;
Perfect be our unity.

Man becomes great exactly in the degree
in which he works for the welfare of his fellow-men.
~ Mohandas K. “Mahatma” Gandhi

O Thou kind Lord! Thou hast created all humanity from the same stock. Thou hast decreed that all shall belong to the same household. In Thy Holy Presence they are all Thy servants, and all mankind are sheltered beneath Thy Tabernacle; all have gathered together at Thy Table of Bounty; all are illumined through the light of Thy Providence.

O God! Thou art kind to all, Thou hast provided for all, dost shelter all, conferrest life upon all. Thou hast endowed each and all with talents and faculties, and all are submerged in the Ocean of Thy Mercy.

O Thou kind Lord! Unite all. Let the religions agree and make the nations one, so that they may see each other as one family and the whole earth as one home. May they all live together in perfect harmony.

O God! Raise aloft the banner of the oneness of mankind.

O God! Establish the Most Great Peace. Cement Thou, O God, the hearts together.

O Thou kind Father, God! Gladden our hearts through the fragrance of Thy love. Brighten our eyes through the Light of Thy Guidance. Delight our ears with the melody of Thy Word, and shelter us all in the Stronghold of Thy Providence.

Thou art the Mighty and Powerful, Thou art the Forgiving and Thou art the One Who overlooketh the shortcomings of all mankind.

(‘Abdu’l-Bahá)

Prayer for Wednesday

The Hindu festival of Chaitra Navratri continues today.

There is only one message that can change the course of human history forever,
end the torture, and bring you back to God.
That message is The New Gospel:
WE ARE ALL ONE.
~ Neale Donald Walsh, Friendship with God, an uncommon dialogue

God is the foundation for everything
This God undertakes, God gives.
Such that nothing that is necessary for life is lacking.
Now humankind needs a body that at all times honors and praises God.
This body is supported in every way through the earth.
Thus the earth glorifies the power of God.

Circle Prayer for Oneness

I stand solidly on the clear knowing that there is only one activity here and that activity is God, the source of all that is, was or will ever be, manifesting in countless unique ways, expressing and emphasizing various facets of my life.

Knowing this complete and indivisible Oneness, I speak my words now for that wholeness to be further revealed…..for the perfect pattern of oneness to continue to unfold, expand and replicate in through us all…..all interactions, all life.

May we be ever reminded of one unyielding connection…..And so it is.

Prayer for Monday

The Hindu festival of Chaitra Navratri continues today.

We are one, after all, you and I,
together we suffer, together exist
and forever will recreate one another.
~ Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Almighty God, whose will it is that all people dwell in unity, we thank you for our diversity
and for all signs of oneness in the midst of our fragmented world:

  • for neighborhood among nations;
  • for understanding among races;
  • for dialogue among faiths,
  • for sisterhood and brotherhood among persons,
  • for all steps in the way of unity with love, we praise you, O God.

Yet, at the same time, we need your forgiveness for our lack of oneness:

  • for strife among nations that means destruction and death to many;
  • for false pride and narrow patriotism that block paths to peace;
  • for divisions between people of different races, classes, and religions;
  • for ungodly dissension among those who claim the name of Christ;
  • for the brokenness within our own lives that stifles growth.

From all such unnecessary and false barriers between persons, good Lord, deliver us.
Put us in a right and good relationship with you, with one another and within our very selves, as we live Jesus’ vision of inclusive love.
Amen.

Prayer for Sunday

The Hindu festival of Chaitra Navratri continues today.

You and I are all as much continuous with the physical universe
as a wave is continuous with the ocean.
~ Alan Wilson Watts

Almighty god,
We offer you our labors, our hopes, our dreams
For in the end, all that we are
Is but a piece embraced in what you are.

We offer you what we hold in our hearts
Let our thoughts express your wisdom
Bless the fruits of our efforts
Make us always stand to account for our deeds.

Each day is a blessing
Each of us, family, friends and neighbors,
Is your gift to this community
All that we are, is you.

In thanksgiving, we abide in oneness,
The pulse eternal in our lives.
Amen.
