Prayer for Thursday

Whatever you desire for yourself, affirm it for others,
and it will help you both. We reap what we sow.
If we send out thoughts of love and health,
they return to us like bread cast upon the waters;
but if we send out thoughts of fear, worry, jealousy, anger, hate, etc.,
we will reap the results in our own lives.
~ Charles F. Haanel, The Master Key System

Oh Great Universal Spirit. You are All-Embracing, All-Loving, and All-Powerful. You are Life itself, continuously blessing us.

I know that I am one with You. Your power and love is a part of me and flows through me. It is mine, as it is everyone’s. I acknowledge and embrace Your love and power. I know that Your Divine qualities are already within me. I am strong and confident even as You are.

I give thanks for Your gifts and accept this blessing of strength and confidence. I shall use these gifts to bless my life and the lives of those I love.

I now release and let Spirit do its perfect work.
I trust the Universe’s strengthening power.
And so it is.
Amen.

Prayer for Saturday (Martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev)

Today is the Sikh remembrance of the Martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev, 5th Sikh Guru. The Muslim holiday of Lailat al-Miraj begins at sunset today.

When there is no enemy within,
the enemies outside cannot hurt you.
~ African Proverb

Dear God, thank you that you love and accept me as I am—and that you love me too much to leave me as I am. Please help me to accept myself as you do, and help me to grow to become the person you want me to be so that my God-confidence and self-confidence will increase greatly. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen.

Prayer for Friday

A gold medal is a nice thing –
but if you’re not enough without it,
you’ll never be enough with it.
~ From Cool Runnings

Grant, O God, thy protection,
and in protection, strength,
and in strength, understanding,
and in understanding, knowledge,
and in knowledge, the knowledge of justice,
and in the knowledge of justice, the love of it,
and in that love, the love of all existences,
and in the love of all existences, the love of God,
God and all goodness.

Prayer for Thursday

Confidence comes not from always being right
but from not fearing to be wrong.
~ Peter T. Mcintyre

When tensions build up at school and pressures at home begin to mount and life becomes almost too much to bear, I sometimes get scared, Lord. I get the urge to run away and hide like the young man in the garden who fled when the police came to arrest You. How is it that You stood Your ground and did not back off from Your teaching? A little while before, You sweated blood but you found strength to yield to God’s will and draw power from it. The next time I waiver or grow faint hearted help me to stand firm. And having found the source of strength to reach out to others who may be just as scared as I.

Confidence comes not from always being right

Affirmative Prayer for Confidence
I know that God is the one and only source of my being. Spirit Itself created me. Life Itself lives through me. Love Itself sustains me. I am important and connected part of this spiritual universe.

If God loves me enough to create me and to give me life, then I can love and respect myself no less. Therefore, I no longer believe in unworthiness, limitation, and shame. I no longer believe that I am undeserving of the best life has to offer. I deserve and accept all the good things in life – for myself and everyone else in my world.

I ACCEPT my own beauty, and I see it reflected in the world around me.
I ACCEPT my own power, and I use it wisely.

I ACCEPT my own worth, and I live abundantly.
I ACCEPT my own love, and I share it freely.

I ACCEPT my own potential, and I live it fully.

My past, my false beliefs, and my feeling of unworthiness no longer limit me. I accept full responsibility for my life, my thoughts, my feelings and my actions. I may not always like what I do or how I feel, but I choose always to love myself in the meantime. Never again will I judge myself as undeserving.

Growing and evolving feels good. Accepting responsibility feels good. Giving myself permission to become the person I was meant to be feels good. And I deserve to feel good about myself and my life.

And so it is.

Prayer for Monday

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
~ Eleanor Roosevelt

God, I pray that I return to my old bubbly self. I have been plagued with unhappiness over the years and now it’s become such a habit, I am no longer sure what I am unhappy about.

It has affected me professionally. I have lost touch with a lot of my friends and colleagues. I have lost pleasure in simple things.

God, grant me peace of mind and the wisdom to accept that you will perfect all in your time.

Prayer for Friday

My apologies for no post yesterday. I attempted to post through my Smartphone, but it wasn’t being very “smart”! 🙂

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4 (NLT)

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

Dear Lord,
My fear has trapped and consumed me. But I am tired of living under the weight of my fears. These verses reassure me of your presence and confirm that you are able to deliver me from my trouble. Please give me your love and your power to replace these fears. Your perfect love casts out my fear. I thank you for promising to give me the peace that only you can give. I receive that peace now as I ask you to still my troubled heart. Because you are with me, I don’t have to be afraid.
Amen

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
