Prayer for Saturday

Awareness is the greatest agent for change.
~ Eckhart Tolle, from A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

Light within all light
Soul behind all souls
at the breaking of dawn
at the coming of day
we wait and watch.
Your Light within the morning light
Your Soul within the human soul
Your Presence beckoning to us from the heart of life.
In the dawning of this day
let us know fresh shining in our soul.
In the growing colors of new beginning all around us
let us know the first lights of our heart.
Great Star of the morning
Inner Flame of the universe
let us be a color in this new dawning.

Prayer for Friday (Krishna Jayanti)

Today is the Hindu festival of Krishna Jayanti, celebrating the birth of Krishna, the eighth incarnation of the God Vishnu.

Every night, when I go to sleep, I die.
Every morning, when I wake up, I am reborn.
~ Mahatma Gandhi

Breaker of this world’s chain,
We adore Thee, whom all men love.
Spotless, taking man’s form, O Purifier,
Thou art above the gunas three,
Knowledge divine, not flesh;
Thou whom the cosmos wears,
A diamond at its heart.

Let us look deep in Thine eyes;
They are bright with the wisdom of God,
That can wake us from Maya’s spell.
Let us hold fast to Thy feet,
Treading the waves of the world to safety.
Oh, drunk with love, God-drunken Lover,
In Thee all paths of all yogas meet.

Lord of the worlds, Thou art ours,
Who wert born a child of our time;
Easy of access to us.
O Merciful, if we take any hold
Upon God in our prayer,
It is by Thy grace alone,
Since all Thine austerities
Were practiced for our sake.

How great was Thy sacrifice,
Freely choosing Thy birth,
In this prison, our Iron Age,
To unchain us and set us free.
Perfect, whom lust could not taint,
Nor passion nor gold draw near,
O Master of all who renounce,
Fill our hearts full of love for Thee.

Thou hast finished with fear and with doubt,
Standing firm in the vision of God;
Refuge to all who have cast
Fame, fortune, and friends away.
Without question Thou shelterest us,
And the world’s great sea in its wrath
Seems shrunk to the puddle
That fills the hoofprint in the clay.

Speech cannot hold Thee, nor mind,
Yet without Thee we think not nor speak.
Love, who art partial to none,
We are equal before Thy sight.
Taker-away of our pain,
We salute Thee, though we are blind.
Come to the heart’s black cave, and illumine,
Thou light of the light.

Prayer for Thursday

Enlightenment is not imagining figures of light,
but making the darkness conscious.
~ Carl Jung

Thou art my All in All, O Lord!—
The Life of my life, the Essence of essence;
In the three worlds I have none else but Thee to call my own.
Thou art my peace, my joy, my hope;
Thou my support, my wealth, my glory;
Thou my wisdom and my strength.
Thou art my home, my place of rest; my dearest friend, my next of kin;
My present and my future,
Thou; my heaven and my salvation.
Thou art my scriptures, my commandments;
Thou art my ever gracious Guru;
Thou the Spring of my boundless bliss.
Thou art the Way, and Thou the Goal;
Thou the Adorable One, O Lord!
Thou art the Mother tender-hearted;
Thou the chastising Father;
Thou the Creator and Protector;
Thou the Helmsman who dost steer
My craft across the sea of life.

Prayer for Wednesday

God is not found in places.
God is found in consciousness.
~ Joel Goldsmith

Glory be to Thee, O my God! Thou hearest Thine ardent lovers lamenting in their separation from Thee, and such as have recognized Thee wailing because of their remoteness from Thy presence. Open Thou outwardly to their faces, O my Lord, the gates of Thy grace, that they may enter them by Thy leave and in conformity with Thy will, and may stand before the throne of Thy majesty, and catch the accents of Thy voice, and be illumined with the splendors of the light of Thy face.

Potent art Thou to do what pleaseth Thee. None can withstand the power of Thy sovereign might. From everlasting Thou wert alone, with none to equal Thee, and wilt unto everlasting remain far above all thought and every description of Thee. Have mercy, then, upon Thy servants by Thy grace and bounty, and suffer them not to be kept back from the shores of the ocean of Thy nearness. If Thou abandonest them, who is there to befriend them; and if Thou puttest them far from Thee, who is he that can favor them? They have none other Lord beside Thee, none to adore except Thyself. Deal Thou generously with them by Thy bountiful grace.

Thou, in truth, art the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Compassionate.

Prayer for Tuesday

The key to growth
is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness
into our awareness.
~ Lao Tzu

Father,
I believe in Collective Consciousness and that we on the planet are all One. That we, being the world, are all part of You and Your Divine Collected Conscious and that we must live up to our Intended direction and purpose. Father, I admit, it is a daily challenge to continue improving myself. Sometimes I choose lethargy, procrastination and guilt instead of choosing Your Truth and Love. Help me Father! Help me to be less of what I shouldn’t be and more of what I should be. I desire to participate in your Collected Consciousness and Divine Purpose.
Amen

Prayer for Sunday

Father, I come before You, just as I am, to praise you and to give you thanks, for you truly are the Creator of heaven and earth.

I beg of You in the Name of Jesus, to enlighten my mind, to see those things you would have me see, and to strengthen my will, to do those things you would have me do.

Give to each of us here a deeper vision of your plan; help us to walk in your presence today and to be attentive to your Holy Spirit.
