Prayer for Saturday

The fruit of silence is prayer.
The fruit of prayer is faith.
The fruit of faith is love.
The fruit of love is service.
The fruit of service is peace.
~ Mother Teresa

Prayer Before Leaving for Apostolate

Dear Lord, the Great Healer, I kneel before You,
since every perfect gift must come from You.
I pray, give skill to my hands,
clear vision to my mind,
kindness and meekness to my heart.
Give me singleness of purpose,
strength to lift up a part of the burden
of my suffering fellow men,
and a true realization of the privilege that is mine.
Take from my heart all the guile and worldliness
that with the simple faith of a child,
I may rely on You.
Amen.

I can do things you cannot,
you can do things I cannot;
together we can do great things.

Blessing of the Harvest

Almighty Lord God,
You keep on giving abundance
to men in the dew of heaven,
and food out of the richness of the soil.
We give thanks to Your most gracious majesty
for the fruits of the field
which we have gathered.
We beg of You,
in Your mercy,
to bless our harvest,
which we have received from Your generosity.
Preserve it,
and keep it from all harm.
Grant, too,
that all those whose desires You
have filled with these good things
may be happy in Your protection.
May they praise Your mercies forever,
and make use of the good things
that do not last in such a way
that they may not lose those goods
that are everlasting,
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for Thursday

The Hindu celebration of Krishna Jayanti continues today.

Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.
Be the living expression of God’s kindness:
kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.
~ Mother Teresa

I do not ask for fame, for a high position in society, for a palace in which to live.
I do not ask for the company of clever and witty people.
Such ambitions mean nothing to me.
I desire only you, Lord of life.
Your love makes my heart melt like butter.
Your grace gives a taste like honey on my tongue.
Your goodness is as soft as silk upon my skin.
Your beauty makes my eyes sparkle with joy.
I want nothing but you.

Prayer for Wednesday (Krishna Jayanti)

The Hindu celebration of Krishna Jayanti begins today.

Spread the love of God through your life
but only use words when necessary.
~ Mother Teresa

O my Lord Krishna I beg to offer my prayers unto you.
My mind is like the bee, and it is after some honey.
Kindly, therfore, give my bee-mind a place at your lotus feet,
which are the resources for all transcendental honey.

Mother Teresa
EAR JESUS, help me to spread Thy fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Thy spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.

Prayer for Monday

If you judge people,
you have no time to love them.
~ Mother Teresa

Watch, dear Lord,
with those who cannot sleep
and those who weep this night.
Tend the sick,
give rest to the weary
and bless the dying.
Relieve those who are suffering,
have pity on those in great distress,
and shield those who are happy.
Amen

Prayer for Sunday

If you are humble nothing will touch you,
neither praise nor disgrace,
because you know what you are.
~ Mother Teresa

God our Father,
you call each of us by name,
and you treasure each of us individually
as though no-one else exists.

Inspire us to respect and value each person
who comes into our lives this day.
Amen.
