Prayer for Friday

Spirit is the real and eternal;
matter is the unreal and temporal.
~ Mary Baker Eddy

The Optimist Creed 1

Promise Yourself –
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times
and give a smile to every living creature you meet.
To give so much time to improving yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud word, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side,
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

(Ernest Holmes)

Prayer for Thursday (St. Joan of Arc)

Today is the Feast of Saint Jeanne d’Arc (Joan of Arc) in some western Christian traditions.

Our attitude toward life determines life’s attitude towards us.
~ Earl Nightingale

Dear Saint Joan: I humbly ask you to help me to live as God wants me to. I would be happy if I had only a fraction of the love and kindness you had for your enemies as well as your friends. But most of all, I implore you to help me to obtain from God a spark of your great and endless love and faith so that I may truly love, serve and obey Him with my whole heart as you did to the very end of your holy life. May you always protect me and help me to stay pure in mind, body and spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Short Obligatory Prayer

(To be recited once in twenty-four hours, at noon.)

I bear witness, O my God, that Thou hast created me to know Thee and to worship Thee. I testify, at this moment, to my powerlessness and to Thy might, to my poverty and to Thy wealth.

There is none other God but Thee, the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting.

Prayer for Tuesday

To get up each morning with the resolve to be happy…
is to set our own conditions to the events of each day.
To do this is to condition circumstances instead of being conditioned by them.
~ Ralph Waldo Trine

A Prayer for Self-confidence

This is a prayer for myself, (state full name), for self-love, self-acceptance, self-confidence, and self-worth or better now.

God is the all-powerful. God is the one power at work in the universe, the all-that-is, the omnipresent, omnipotent, the all-embracing, the all-loving, and all-encompassing. God is the ultimate authority, the sovereign power. God is the tower of strength, the supreme majesty and greatest glory. God is the invincible rock, staff, and shield of this cosmos. God is the ultimate source of all love.

I recognize that God is the crown of glory. God is the rock solid foundation of all life. With God, all is possible. God’s blessings flow freely in a bliss-bestowing stream. God works wonders and miracles. I AM one with God’s glory. I AM one with God’s strength. I AM one with God’s love. I say yes to all God’s blessings flowing into my life in a never-ending stream. I AM strong. I AM confident. I AM worthy.

I therefore claim for myself, (state full name), my perfect self-acceptance, self-love, and self-worth or better now.

I now know that I AM my perfect self-acceptance, self-love, and self-worth or better now. I now heal and release all thoughts that interfere with this claim, whether known or unknown, conscious or subconscious. My thoughts are now one with, the same as, and in tune with God’s thought. I invoke the divine presence to heal my limitations and negations of fear, limitation, confusion, lack of faith, lack of trust, pain, and frustration now. These false beliefs are healed, forgiven, and lifted into the light. I AM enlightened, I am strengthened, I AM forgiven. I now instead welcome positive thoughts and emotions of love, self-acceptance, worthiness, happiness, faith, trust, forgiveness, joy, wholeness, wisdom, healing, and peace.

I now fully accept in consciousness my perfect self-acceptance, self-love, and self-worth or better now.

Thank you, God, for this good, which is now manifest in my life.

I now release this prayer fully and completely to God and the Spiritual Law of perfection everywhere. I know that it is accepted and manifests now, under grace, in God’s perfect ways.

And So It Is. Amen.

Prayer for Saturday (Wesak)

Today is the Buddhist holiday of Wesak. It also is the Christian feast of St. Bede the Venerable.

What you perceive in others
you are strengthening in yourself.
~ A Course in Miracles

Om Mani Padme Hum.

Upon the shores of reality, we live and move and have our being
within God, the All in all. And as we see the waves coming, we know
that only God is real where we are. The return currents of mankind’s
karma cannot move us from the sacred space of oneness where we are.

Reality appears in the light of the Almighty where we are.

The new day appears here through us as we live in illumination’s ray.
We access our Lord’s light through our witness to his reality here.

Peace. Be still! Peace. Be still! Peace. Be still, O my soul,
O lover of God, for I know who I AM within.

Om.
Om Mani Padme Hum.
